Premillennial, Imminent Return of Christ
We believe....
That the church is awaiting the "blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13). This event will not be proceeded by any other prophesy.
It is indeed imminent (expected at any moment) as evidenced by the Apostle Paul's belief that it could happen in his lifetime (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
The imminency of this event, and the fact that the church is not destined for God's wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) indicate that the rapture will occur prior to the tribulation period—or Daniel’s seventieth week (Daniel 9:27)—which is uniquely a period of God's wrath upon the earth.
Christ's opening of the seven sealed scroll (Revelation 6) corresponds to the judgments of the Tribulation being poured out on the earth.
As every member of the church will participate in this event, irrespective of their state of sanctification (1 Corinthians 15:51-52), we are to comfort one another with these words (1 Thessalonians 4:18).
We reject as untenable other views such as mid-tribulationalism, post-tribulationalism, the pre-wrath rapture view, and the partial rapture view.
